Themken: I have noone to play co-op with :-( and found the demo quite hard on my own but pretty well done as a game. Added game to account just a few minutes ago.
They recently made the bots ridiculously overpowered to the point where most people even prefer to play single player instead with other people because the bots are so strong. You need to give them skills in the Crew Management menu and here's a good tip: Give them the Reinfeld shotgun or an LMG, they can basically kill a Bulldozer with 1 shot on any difficult.

The game is difficult in the beginning though because you have no skills and only the crappiest weapons with no weapon modifications available.
I struggled in the beginning too even though the game is vastly easier than Payday The Heist, by now i can run easily through death wish difficulty with a problem (but after nearly 2000 hours i should be good :D )

/facepalm a game released in 2007. Try again. Securom hasn't been used in like 6 years.
This is the game where the devs had steam ignore the user defined tag of "Bag Tossing Sim" so it wouldn't show up under popular user defined tags lol

timppu: Yeah why not I guess. If it is mainly a co-op game and less interesting as a single-player game, I'll probably never play it though.

Naturally it doesn't contain any DLCs, kinda expected. Offer the aging base game free so that people are more inclined to buy expansions for it. A bit like the original Doom, offer first episode for free, pay for the rest. Or the free-to-play model where starting to play is free but you are more inclined to pay it later if you continue playing.
The DLC will be sold for a very low price (45 dollars for Payday 2 Ultimate Edition) which is nothing to complain about. I bought all DLC when they were released each time for the full price. I payed all in all somewhere between 150 and 200€ for Payday 2 and i don't regeret it in the slightest.

There were bots in the demo too. Will look at this much later when I have time and tire of playing Saints Row 2.

What does that have to do with your inital comment? Anyway, I should have known better than to reply to that post anyway. Carry on.

Denuvo is very much a present phenomenon.

Azrael360: For those interested in this PAYDAY 2 game, these are also FREE DLC:

I think their site went down from so many requests.

Payday 2 is one of those games that's best played with friends that don't mind failure. It's extremely fun under those circumstances. That said, never ever ever ever ever EVER EVER do random match making. The salt is far too real.

and it doesn't do anything the other guy stated about Securom. Denuvo might install an inert file (examples of inert files is like a .txt file or a .cfg file) in the game directory, and after you uninstall the game and if the game directory is left over you can delete the game directory and that inert file will disappear with it.
Thanks for the notice.

The game says it requires 30-40 GB. Is that real? Why does it need that much space?

They do it so you can load assets that other players with the DLC are using. Dark Souls 2 and 3 did the same thing. You get all the DLC items in the game added to your harddrive so that playing with someone who has a weapon pack doesn't crash your game and the player base isn't split based on what DLC are owned/used.
I found 2 free DLC available for Payday 2 from - http://www.epicbundle.com/game-deal-voucher but like others have mentioned above, the site was overwhelmed. I finally got in and it is just an HTTP redirect to a "Ultimate edition is coming soon, please buy it for $45 USD" bait-and-switch page.

Grateful for the free game I got the other day, but the dev/pub are pretty terrible with DLC and consumer friendliness IMHO, and the bait-n-switch is just another example of it. It is nice to see they're making an all-in-one ulitmate edition of the game and suggest that they're going to make all future DLC free, but they kind of boned their original customers a bit in the process because nobody can buy the DLC now anymore and are forced to re-buy the game at full price. It might be cheaper than buying all the DLC at once as they say, but then some people don't want all of the DLC. If they wanted to truly be gamer friendly they would provide both options IMHO.

Having said that, the Payday games are pretty wicked from what I've seen. Hopefully this free DLC thing gets sorted out today/soon though and I can give them a pass on the baiting.
