I hope it arrives here. I barely played the original due to that awful voxel-like engine but this new is impressive. It has some issues and they kept the old feeling intact, some control issues but I don't mind them - one important change: 60FPS! Far more important than the graphical overhaul in my opinion but it's a good bonus along with higher resolution.

Downside is that they caved and used Unity and for some reason, there's no surround sound support even though, according to people at Steam, Unity has great support for it.

Patch notes only mention "CPU usage optimized", but the store page no longer shows Denuo DRM - so they might as well release it here on GOG now.

removal of Denuo don't necessarily mean it is DRM free. does it use CEG?
