Gravity Ghost takes about 3 hours to play through.
Braveland Wizard is missing on the list. Like its predecessor Braveland, it takes about 4-6 hours to complete.

Thanks, it's on there now!

Recently finished Chronology from this list, it is indeed a quite short game. Suitable for younger players as well, except for one or two obscure puzzles that may stump even adults for a while.
Shadowgate should make it into the list.

REDVWIN
Hook is a nice little puzzler with just 50 levels that can be finished in under an hour.

There is a web short "demo" in Kongregate with the same basic mechanic but it has timed-event levels. The full version has no timed levels and instead adds several "switches" to make it more interesting in terms of logic.

The game has mobile versions, it was just released on Steam and it was DRM-Free on Groupees.
In my opinion, Bastion isn't a classic one-day-game. It took me 15h to complete the main story + some extras, but there were lots of achievements, extra levels and perfect level completions left. So to finish the game 100%, it'd take quite some additional hours. That aside, I think a game with a common playthrough of more than 12h doesn't easily fit in one day, but is rather a two day game.

I have two more games for the list:

Pitiri 1977 can be completed in 1-2 hours.

Sometimes: Success Requires Sacrifice can be completed in 20 minutes or in 1 hour when you want to try every mode.

Thanks, that definitely puts it outside of my parameters. I consider a One Day Game to be 5 hours or less. I'll put it from the list.

Do you have links for these? I'm excluding certain genres, such as shmups and coffee break games, which by their nature tend to almost always fall into this category by default.

Meanwhile, just finished FarSky last night with a total playtime around 4 hours, so onto the list it goes.

EDIT: I'm guessing that and the [url=http://www.gog.com/game/pajama_sam_vol_1]Pajama Sam games probably also belong on here.

Here's a link for Pitiri 1977.

And here is one for Sometimes, but that one probably falls into the coffee break category.

Thanks! I agree with you, though Pitiri 1977 is a fine addition to the list. I didn't realise that it was available DRM-free as well. Desura has a good deal on it, shame that I'm not buying from them anymore.
Now that Samorost2 (but not 1) is here, you might want to edit its entry.
Never Alone (Kisima Ingitchuna) takes 3-4 hours to play through for the main game, and another hour for the Foxtales DLC.

Thanks! Where is that available from?
As I said here:

'Ravensword: Shadowlands' is a 6 - 12 hour game....
