Due to no activation servers, I used the skidrow and reloaded patches, and it works offline on Win10.
As you can expect, online content is not available, but the whole story is just fine.

Heh. I have nearly all of those. I never got Bon Voyage or Apartment Life because of some bugs that never got patched, and two of the stuff packs are on my wishlist on Amazon to add someday when I get around to it, but I have all the rest. Not sure what I will do if GOG does end up getting them. Not sure I'm willing to pay to rebuy the entire collection unless it's at an extremely reasonable price. Sims 2 is more than 20 years old, after all. If they let us buy individual stuff packs, they'll get me for those last two (after I double check which two I don't have)
