As much as I want to give Steam the benefit of the doubt, I am absolutely fed up with amount of times I buy a game on Steam (which is rare) and it gives me nothing but problems. I'm not exaggerating when I say that there's a 25% chance that a game I buy on Steam gives me nothing but issues. Whether it's controller issues, or graphical/hardware issues, crashing issues, or any other endless variety of issues that make the experience unbearable. Why is it so difficult for Steam to release their games in proper working order? I realize that everyone has different experiences, but I almost never have problems running GOG games (although Galaxy has the odd issue). I'm not trying to be a fan boy here, but I can count on one hand the amount of problems that I've had with GOG games, and I have hundreds of games in my library. I don't know if I'm just preaching to the choir here, but I just had to get that off my chest because every time I buy anything from Steam it ends up being nothing but a broken, frustrating mess.

That being said, thank you GOG for making your games playable (that is if we ignore the obvious issues with Cyberpunk 2077).

Steam is a storefront that sells games made by other people.

Oh yes if a problem isn't at the start then newer hardware can cause massive problems later down the line or a newer OS or even just a newer OS build of the same OS .. I assume for newer games this is do to mostly drm coding reasons but its also do to older coding where G.O.G will get work done for older games to run on newer hardware

And occasionally (once in a blue moon) by ValVe...
