Let's just go full circle and make a Donkey Kong movie.
Next in line: Q-bert.

I know the game Rampage but I don't think I have ever played it properly. Maybe I've seen some Amiga 500 port in my childhood but felt it was a bit crappy game. i just didn't really see the point of its gameplay. it might be also that I am slightly mixing it up with another (early) Amiga 500 game (Aaaargh!) where you had two big monsters fighting each others, and eating small villagers from the ground to replenish energy.

Tidbit from the Rampage game Mobygames page:

George, Lizzy and Ralph were just ordinary Americans, until an experiment went wrong, turning them into a Gorilla, Lizard and Werewolf respectively. Following this, the three of them plan to go round destroying buildings, and up to 3 human players can join in.
So the movie is lying?!? That gorilla is supposed to be a human originally.

In the game when you "died" you turned back into into a human and walked off the screen, so yeah, the movie is full of shit, Most of the folks in here are dead on about how awful this 'port' is and it just pisses me off more. One of the thrills of the game was the mindless stupidity of it, and by trying to make a serious story out of it they killed the heart of the game. At this point not even nostalgia can drag me to the theater.

As for next, as previously mentioned, that would be the Tetris Trilogy.
