So, do you guys think older NFS titles such as Underground, Underground 2, Hot Pursuit 2 and even older will ever be on GOG? :)

Post your opinions below. :)

When I think of older NFS games... I actually thing of the pre-Undergound era (TNFS to Porsche). Now I feel old...

Nah, you're not that old and those are good games, these just came to mind since they're my favorite (especially HP2) :)
No. The amount of relicensing necessary means that EA wouldn't touch any of the older Need for Speed games with a 10 ft. pole.
I think they peaked at the porche game, god I loved that game...

I'm old enough to have played TNFS when it came out AND instantly know it was a (very well done) remake of Test Drive 2 - The Duel that was one of my most played games on the C64.
Underground was a turning point in the series, that's why for me it started the "new era". I never really loved HP2, I found it lacking (and far too easy) compared to the earlier games, although admittedly the "be the police" part worked better.
Gameplay-wise my favorite NFS would be High Stakes, although Porsche has by far the best driving physics (try the early 911 models with a FF steering wheel - awesome how you can feels how your rear is getting out of control).
Porsche and 3 please.
I've still yet to play a better NFS than Porsche Unleashed. Loved having just the right level of customisation in Evolution mode and the challenges in Factory Driver mode. They truly caught lightning in a bottle with that game.

True for anything from HP2 onward, but TNFS through PU had all original music which they probably own.

This. And i would love a HD remaster for Porsche. That was, arguably, the best NFS ever made.

Also, Test Drive Unlimited 1 with a functional MP....

When I think of 'old' I think of the Need For Speed demo that was on a CD from one of those gaming mags back in the day.

I actually had one that had Warzone 2100 on it, that was a bit novel, especially after finding out it had become an Open Source project.

But now I'm thinking about Thrust Twist N' Turn.

They need to license the cars as well (if they used real world brands). That's why every driving game with real cars gets pulled from rotation after a while.

Car licenses is the most likely problem, not music licenses.

Edit: Note to self. Refresh thread before posting.

As others mentioned already above, the cars are also a problem.

Or working at all. On my machine it has terrible micro stuttering that renders it unplayable. :-(
Sunk countless hours into it on my old rig, what a disappointment that it didn't work when I got a new one a few years ago.
NFS1 was fucking awful. I hated it then and I still hate it now, what platform you play it on (I have it for PS1 and DOS).

NFS2 was pretty much what NFS1 should have been, even if it left behind the sensation of cross-country driving in favour of more traditional lap-based racing. Looks good with Glide as well.

NFS3, NFS: Road Challenge (I know it as "Brennender Asphalt") and NFS Porsche were the peak of the classic NFS series (basically the "Road & Track" themed games) before it went on to introduce campaigns and storylines. Hot Pursuit 2 was alright, lacked a sense of speed on the PC version though (the PS2 version was better).
