So douse a game need to get a certain number of votes to be added to GOG or what? There are some great old games you can only get by piracy or by getting it used for 2-3 times what it cost when it came out.
Piracy is not an option.

No. Personally I doubt voting does anything.

With older games it's the legal aspects and IP ownership that are usually the issue.
Voting just shows GOG and rights owners how much potential interest there is in a game. It gives GOG an idea of what to go after and a bit of ammunition to bring to rights owners who might be hesitant to put a game on GOG's platform. However, no matter how many votes a game might have, if the rights owner is unwilling to sell it here, it will never be here.

Honestly, when there is NO other way, I'd say it's better than just letting something die and disappear of the face of the Earth.

Okay we're talking about games here, not a species. XD

Don't you go bringing pragmatism in a piracy debate! These are supposed to be filled with irrational justifications, ad hominem attacks and lots of internet screaming! How dare you throw cold water on that!
I stopped caring about the wishlist when I realized it doesn't actually do anything, after seeing GOG refuse to sell Hatred. If there are any games you want but can't obtain legally and in reasonable conditions, then just pirate them .
