misteryo: Anybody want some chips? A sandwich? I think I have some RC in the fridge. It's kind of old, so I don't know if it's any good.

Ghorpm: First tell us what RC is. For me it stands for radio controlled but i somehow doubt you have some automated snacks in your fridge ;)
Why not? He said "chips".

RC Cola. Royal Crown Cola. From a bygone era.

ZFR: I'm good too. Thanks for asking.

Old cola is still good for making barbecue sauce.

/fires up the smoker, throws some beer in the snow
I love the high-quality people gathering near the village square. May I join?

No snow over here, though. I moved to Jacksonville, FL and I'm going to the beach today!

I have a sixpack of Coca Cola (what you crazy yanks call "Classic Coke", not the new-fangled stuff that never took off: "I supported them through three wives and two world wars, but this is too much" said the old guy in the rocking chair as advertized by rival Pepsi, at the time).

Welcome. I'm right at a shear line for the current winter storm over the midwest. 4 days ago they were prediciting up to 10 inches of snow! Right now it's just raining. But they swear it's going to snow later on today. Most likely. Probably at least 4 inches. Of snow. Later.
I grew up in Michigan and remember well the rain and the ice. Yuck.

RC cola is a good cola. I like cola taste when it has more fizz, so I definitely like Pepsi more. But rc is something you can't really get from other sources. It has a smooth, dark cola taste.

Coke has that citrus taste in it that pairs very well with a squeezed lime or some Malibu.

The beach, by the way, was lovely. Not too many people out today. Very calm. I dug myself a bed and a chair and chilled for many hours with the brown noise of the ocean waves lulling me to a near comatose state. I only moved here a few months ago, so I'm still entranced by the beach.

60 miles north of us they had ice and snow by 10 AM this morning and it got worse all day. People are going to be housebound for 24-48 hours. It finally turned from rain to snow here about two hours ago. We have maybe an inch. It is pretty icy, and will close to zero all night, so churches and business are starting to close for tomorrow. But no big deal really.

I haven't had an RC in maybe 10 years. I remember really liking it. I always favored Coca Cola myself. Pepsi tastes too sweet. Not like there isn't a ton of sugar in Coke as well, but the subctive taste is what I'm talking about.
