I did as I have said in previous posts, uninstalled both GoG Galaxy and the game, verified that all directories were empty, Galaxy client, No Mans Sky and the folder where the saves were located and when I log in from a fresh install I am at the same point I was back stepped to.

This was not what I expected nor wanted, I have done more then my part to try and make good with this. Hello Games is just not being honest in regards to this matter. being told you can play offline with no internet needed and starting with a clean install to hit this only shows that internet is a MAJOR part of the game.

I will try one more time and this time just not bother with GoG Galaxy at all. and see if it back steps me again. I will just follow the path to Atlas and not look back as I expect without GoG Galaxy I will not be able to navigate as expected as I have explained in many previous posts
Wasn't your first play *with* Galaxy? They're both different progressions aren't they? (Online vs Offline)

Maybe they're trying to beat the "what happened to gog connect?" thread record.
