Please accept my apologies if I have posted on the wrong forum, but I have a question and am hoping that someone can explain something to me.

At the start of the sale, Oblivion was listed at €5.99. I did ponder grabbing it straight away, but thought it better to wait for my pension pay day. That done, I now find it is no longer on sale and is listed at €19.99.

Is it an upgraded version? Any idea why it is no longer on sale?

Many thanks in advance for your comments.
I am not sure but publishers decide the price, not GOG. Perhaps Oblivion had a special diacount at the beginning of the sale, but they opted out of the "standard" sale

Hi!

The game is exactly the same, the complete edition.
Unfortunately, you arrived just a couple of days too late: some publishers (Bethesda included) decided to keep the games on sale until the 10th rather than for the whole duration of the summer sale, for reason known only to them.
Don't worry though, all Bethsoft catalog goes on sale pretty often, you'll have plenty of chances to find it again at good prices! :)

Ah, I didn't see this announcement. Thank you for the help in explaining it. I will just have to wait for a while longer, I guess.

Been thinking about this and i think they might be doing that to create an artificial sense of urgency. 'Quick, buy our product now!' Paradoxically, this could result in higher sales than if they simply kept the games on sale for the duuration of the sale.

Really dumb to end the sale just before payday.

Or perhaps it was grace. :)
