Vegpot: Hi
I recently purchased Obduction in a Gog sale, but downloaded it onto a laptop that isn't compatible, on launch the game is complaining about global shader and cooked content, from checking on the web this seems to mean the graphics capability of my laptop is not enough to run the game? My question is though, I want to uninstall it from the laptop it's on, and download/re-install it onto my Alienware which I hope should be able to run it. I made the mistake of thinking that I could run the game on any of my devices once I'd bought it but Gog is giving me the message that I have already downloaded the game if I try and download it onto a different device, so I don't know how to get out of this and I can't find how to contact the right person at Gog about it - help, anybody!
I don't use Galaxy so I wasn't aware of any inability to download to a different device. I just added the "+" forum rep to user IFW who pointed out how you can use the offline installer. In today's age of mandatory clients for everything, you would think GOG could stand to make the offline installers a focus and tout the feature of actual control over the product you buy. Instead, the offline installers are made (purposely?) less visible, so some people aren't even aware they have the option. Anyway, enjoy the game!
