Some old school gamers here might remember indie games before the indie explosion. Hamumu (Mike Hommel) has been making games since the late '90s, and is now releasing them for free (spurred on in part due to a website hack, but no financial info was stolen).

I recommend these:

Dr. Lunatic Supreme With Cheese

Loonyland: Halloween Hill

Kid Mystic

Loonyland 2: Winter Woods

Spooky Castle

Sleepless Hollow

EDIT: If you're having color problems (since these are quite old games), try putting WINDOW at the end of the "target" property (see image). Also try changing the "Compatibility" tab settings - 256 colors, 640x480, etc.

What kind of asshat hacks some small Indie gaming website? Not really familiar with their games, but I hope they can get everything back in order soon.

It's sad to hear they got hacked. I still remember playing Dr Lunatic demo(!) as a kid. In fact, just a few weeks ago I bought an IDE-to-USB adaptor to read my old hdd(~10 years in drawer old) and I had an old Dr Lunatic demo installed on it. After playing a bit, I went to Hamumu website and decided I would buy it after christmas/winter sale here. I definitely recommend at least checking out Dr Lunatic.

He's hosting on LiquidWeb, a company that spouts out "Security is all we do!" in all of the adverts.

They're just a target to anyone who wants to test that.

Crappy answer but we've gotten quite a few transfers from them over the years.
These are really nice looking games. I will spread the word.
Loonyland 2 is now available, including the previously-limited Collectors Edition content. :)
Sleepless Hollow now - (use link above)

Also gave a tip in the o.p. to for those having color issues

Spooky Castle, the freebie included with some eGames shareware discs, has been added. Also Eddie Galaxy and Stockboy and maybe others.
EDDIE GALAXY! I love that game! I'm gonna download it right now.
Just finished it. Less than 40 minutes :D
I hope more people will try out these games. I've been playing Supreme With Cheese and it's pretty fun.

I was thinking about these games again, and thought I'd bump in case somebody sees the post and is interested.
