Hello everyone!

Remember when the game's manual had a part for notes? Did anyone actually use them?

The old NES cartridges had them and I used them for codes.

The one I remember was "Thief" I think which had this huge section in the manual but then allowed you to type notes in game which kind of meant 'waste of paper'. :P

Of course they were all glossy so if you didn't have a ball point pen you were screwed.

For some reason I love this topic though. XD Nice thread jsidhu. :D

I could never force myself to defile manuals for any reason :D
No, didn't want to spoil the manual:D
No, I didn`t use it. I didn`t want to write something inside the manuals to keep them "new and clean". If I wanted to write something down for later use I used a white paper and put it inside the manual.
Strange? Perhaps, but that`s me. :D

This, basically.

I also became a pretty big stickler for keeping manual/inserts in the case/box, so it kind of bugs me that other people don't do it and manage to get the manual lost (my cousin lost my dead space manual when she borrowed the game from me... guess I'm lucky I even got it back though)
Hells to the no, I try very hard to keep everything pristine.
I almost care more for my possessions than other people.
I never read any manual. I considered them as a spoiler.
I always skipped tutorials.
Am I the only one who like to live dangerously?

I usually don't go through the manual cover to cover, especially if the manual is particularly long. I read a portion of it if that's the case.

I guess you subscribe to the theory of "real men don't need instructions".

No, it makes you the annoying guy who floods a forum with threads like "I can't save my game!" and "Why can't I attack!?" and my personal favorite, "WTF! NO HOT KEYS!?" :P

I don't do anything in the notes sections. For the same reason as @Ritualisto's from above. I want the manuals new and clean; even more so today because getting your hands on a manual is quite the luxury.
It said "Notes" on top in some, but mine were empty. Must have had defective copies.
I never hung onto them long enough to use the notes section.
Like the majority, I never even considered defacing the manual. I wasn't one to beat up my belongings. That reminds me of the PC retail box for Ripcord games. They had one of those tabs you'd pull across the top of the box ripping it open. I'm sure it must have felt very gratifying for those who pulled it open. I could never bring myself to do that.
