Is there a digital purchase option for this game?

I remember playing this back then and recently thought about it and I would love to play this again.

Nope, this game is lost in limbo.

Only way to play it now is get physical copy or download from some abandonware site.

Ah that's lame. Is the abandonware legal to just download and play?

Abandonware is never legal, but most companies turn a blind eye to it. It's unlikely you'll get the FBI treatment if you download abandonware.

Legal? Not really. Will anybody care? Absolutely not. And if they do, it will be the site hosting it that takes the shot so go ahead if you want.

But if you do, it would be ethical to buy the game, should it ever appear for sale.

Well, if they rereleased the BloodRayne games, maybe you can convince Ziggurat to rerelease Nocturne while they're at it.

Technically it's not legal, but also it's not ilegal, the rights are all over the place, so nobody have power to do anything against and when they have it's because they are interested in release the game.

Terminal Reality didn't own the BloodRayne IP.

But Terminal Reality does own the Nocturne IP. And they probably wouldn't want to give it away to a different company.

And make sure you buy it at full price (not on sale), if it does get released. It will help support the developer, and help ease the guilt from playing an initially dubious pre-released copy of the game...

If you buy a used copoy, be aware i it's takes sme tweaking to get to run on a modern computer.

For those of you who don;t know. Bloodrayne actually started as a sequel to Nocturn.
One of the major NPC'S Nocturn is referenced in Bloodrayne as being Bloodryane's half sister.

I am sure it used to be the case that no one else ever owned the Nocturne IP other than Terminal Reality itself.

However, I am not sure if the Nocturne IP changed hands after Terminal Reality's bankruptcy.

But AFAIK, there is no evidence that it did, so it probably didn't.

And I also still don't understand how Terminal Reality was able to help Ziggurat with the BloodRayne remasters, given that they did that long after they had declared bankruptcy.

So that indicates that Terminal Reality still exists somehow (even though I personally don't understand what it means for it to still exist after having gone bankrupt and closed its offices).

So, you own the retail version already?
Because I remember reading some time ago, about a guy who created a new installer for it, with which it should run under Win10.
That would probably the quickest and cheapest way for you to replay the game.
