Tell us a horror film that you like. I am not a massive fan of the genre but do love An American Werewolf In London.
Everything about the film is great, the acting, the special effects, the setting, the music, it is just a timeless classic.

Even though i have a lot of favourite horror films and it would be difficult to just choose one, well, i'd go with Alien (great atmosphere, superb cast, characters & script, the best m*&^$%^ing villain creature in existence) or The Shining (great atmosphere, great story & acting). Cheers!

Huge fan of horror movies, one of the favorites Alien and The Thing. Cool actors and sci-fi horrors with aliens always is great.

My favorite horror film - The Thing (1982). Every time I watch tihs film I tremble with fear. The paranoia feeling during whole film is perfectly captured and practical effects are still amazing to this day. I don't understand how this film was not well received in opening days.

I'm not a fan of horror movies (cuz i'm squeamish) except for The Frighteners (1996). imho it's an underrated gem which I don't mind rewatching every year or so due to the comedy elements tucked in between the mild horror scenes and it's brisk pacing and great acting. The twist in the film also got me the first time I watched it. I suspect I also like it because it reminds me of BTTF lol.

The closest thing to a horror film that I actually like would be Gremlins. :P

Not in, but a great list of games for the winners.

Favorite horror film: Has to be either the original Saw or Prince of Darkness. I love Saw for it being gritty and mysterious, something I felt all of the sequels lacked (including the recent Jigsaw). The story had its great twists, and some of the scenes I find intense because of what it does not show, again unlike the sequels. As for Prince of Darkness, it's just another Carpenter film I fell does not get enough attention. It's weird and mysterious and has that stranger vibe I like about a lot of Carpenter's films. I might sometimes prefer They Live, The Thing, or Halloween, but there is still something to be said about how strange and underappreciated Prince of Darkness is.

I'm not a massive fan of the genre either but i do like The Ring (the original japanese version, not the remake), 1 reason being not cos it's really that scary to me but is that the main female actress is 1 that i liked. Haha. ;p

Most of scary horrors I remember are the ones I watched as a kid. If I watch them again, they always appear not as good as my memories, which is both sad and quite obvious ;) The best horror movies of all time are:
• The Omen
• The Exorcist

From the last decades I only remember a lot of disappointment. Except perhaps these ones:

• ‎28 Days Later
