snowkatt: did you miss the great ( and ridicilous ) unbundeling of 2015 ?
What was wrong with the unbundling of the games in our library?

The might and magic 6 pack is an example where downloading takes longer because the 6th game has too many bites. While the older DOS games can take about 3-5 min to download.

DazBoots: I use to think GoG had some good common sense, so why fix something that wasn't broken?
One reason I hate steam is because they are always ****ing about with things. Here we go again.

Elmofongo: Because then they will be behind the times with the website desigin and people will call this site interface dated.
They seem to have been fine leaving the forums dated all this time. Account redesign is no doubt because of Galaxy and possibly mobile.

Couldn't they make 2 versions of the website ? One for computers and one for mobile ?
Oh my god it supports fulltext searching and tag management, finally!
Which do you prefer.Big Changes or Good News!?:D

YaTEdiGo: NO, if they change it, they need to give us options to ORGANIZE IT, this is a DIGITAL COLLECTION, come on, even STEAM does it...

tinyE: I agree but I don't think this is something to go postal over. :D And be patient; there has already been enough barking today and I'm sure they get the message. Give them time, they will fix it.
Like they fixed the grey mobile friendly ugly as shit current forum design?

I'll have you know that there are many beloved color blind members of this forum that have not once complained about that! :P

They missed one announcement

GOG is now a 2nd rate Steam Clone.

If I wanted to use the Steam Client, I'd get all my games on Steam.

Choice ? We have no choice here
Optional ? We have no option here

They said Galaxy was Optional, having just actually seen Galaxy and this site change, They are exactly the same thing.
How is that Optional, the only difference is Galaxy can Auto Download my games/Updates.

Guess what, as a mod user that's the very last thing I want it to do. I choose GOG games because NO DRM is best for modding and the absolute worst thing you can do to a modded game is auto update it.

Take auto update away (Option exists at least) and the site is Galaxy, Galaxy is the site, there is no choice or "optional" client if the site is the same.

Then to just add insult to injury, the terms and conditions of Witcher 3 appear to say I can't use cheats or mods at all.
Well is it a multi-player game, no.
Single Player only, yes.

So whether I cheat or mod the game is my choice not CD Projekt Reds.

For clarity I tried to bring the Terms in Galaxy again, but as I clicked Install, assuming this was the preinstall option, I'm now "Installing" the game, it's still at 0%, 4 hours later, so not actually installing at all. Yet I can't backtrack at all.

The wording forbade all and any "Cheats and Hacks", which for a single player game is not actually enforcable at all and is a red rag to the bull move, guarenteed to backfire.

This is obviously being rushed to match the Witcher 3 release, ironic considering how that was twice delayed to get it right.

I only got a Galaxy Beta Key 3 days ago and only noticed when the site changed today. So Beta was Very Quickly abandoned, probably had a 1 week to W3, time limit.
So expect lots of bugs in Galaxy/Site with no choices at all.

And it is optional, You do not need the site nor galaxy to play any of the games... remember "OPTIONAL CLIENT"

you can use the client if you want to get those achievements that make you feel like you're accomplishing something you are not and better interaction with friends and management of content on the client, that's about it.

The Unbundling, sounds like a horror movie :O

First I had around 220 games, then I suddenly had 260 and now I checked and it's only 230...not sure what is going on, maybe The Rebundling ?

MY THOUGHT EXACTLY!!!!1111..

Ops, caps lock.

P.S The ops is a lie. ;)

If anyone wants back the wooden library I suggest Darkadia game library site. You'll have to fill in all your games manually but I broke it down to perhaps 50 games a day and it only took a few days until I was done.
