Hi,

Is there a way to check on the status of a support ticket that isn't just replying to the email? I opened a ticket 23 days ago but I've had no response other than the confirmation email which I have already replied to. If these things just take a long time that's fine, this is the first ticket I've opened, but 23 days seems like a pretty long time so I wanted to make sure I'm not missing anything.

Cheers,

mloaf
With it being that long, I'd just send another. Usually sending more than one sends you to the back of the line but don't think it'll matter after this long.
So what games did you buy that made you join?

Considering it's just after a big summer sale, it's possible they have a lot of tickets they are going through.

It doesn't send you back in the line, that was wrong information:

Ah okay, sorry about that. But I would go ahead and send another anyway after this long.

A friend gave me a Mount and Blade key, I've been intending to get into GOG for a good while though - it seems much more pro-consumer than Steam. Apparently I've got quite a common problem but none of the usual solutions seem to work.

What's the issue (assuming it's not something personally sensitive)? Maybe one of us GOG members can help?

Sure - so I got the keys for Warband, With Fire and Sword and the Napoleon DLC, and it all redeemed succesfully on GOG, but when I try to play the mutiplayer I get prompted for the key again and it tells me the key is incorrect.

I read that changing the serial_key value in regedit to the key should fix it but that didn't work, I just get the "invalid serial" message immediately upon trying to join a server.

Thanks in advance for any help btw.

Look at the game in your collection, look and see if there's another key. There might be one specifically for multiplayer.

Click on the game in your library. Then click on the button "More". There you'll find the option "Serial Keys". That is the one you need for multiplayer.
Thanks guys, that was it! Out of curiosity, do you know why the keys there were different from the keys I used to redeem the game?

It's because those aren't multiplayer keys, those are to add the game to your account.

The ones in your account are specifically for playing online.

The multiplayer keys are generated by a method created by the game's developers. The game then checks if the keys are valid.

The redeem keys are generated by GOG.com whenever someone purchases a game as a gift. Think of them as coupons to a shop.

As an addendum to what others have pointed out, there may be another reason (I'm not sure how the multiplayer works for M&B): in NWN, for example, multiplayer requires a uniques key, but the single player protion also requires a key in order to play. Due to the way the game was coded, GOG provides people with a generic key that works in single player, but multiplayer requires you to go to your account and request unique keys. M&B may be a similar situation.

Regardless, I'm glad you got it working. :)

Props for people being helpful and not sarcastic; the sarcasm and off-topic responses can happen too quickly sometimes, imo.
