I want to add games which I played in past to my GOG account, but Gothic I and Gothic II seems to never be on sale. I saw that there was 75% sale on gothic series in past, but it was never on sale lately and most other games I wanted were.

They're now on sale. All -75% off. Enjoy!
How it happened after my post?

GOG big sales always start at 15:00 CET and the Winter Sale just started. It was a nice coincidence :D

Maybe it was because of your post?!? Good job.
Gothic ftw. Great series. Even 3, despite not being even close to the glory of 1 and 2. Think if I could count all the hours I spent on those games I would score at least a year.

kind of offtop, but what s the best way to play it - with or without forsaken gods enhancements?

Absolutely without! Forsaken Gods is awful, developed by an inexperienced team to make a quick buck for the now deceased JoWood games. Avoid at all costs, like Arcania... they are just THAT bad.

Maybe if one can get over the awkward, clunky, and sometimes buggy controls of the first two. I couldn't. I probably would have hated the controls even on the time of the games' original releases.

To make matters worse, after that I tried Gothic 3 in which I almost immediately died with little recourse in the opening clash as I was thronged by those orcs - getting knocked down over and over again sure is fun. That certainly was the worst first impression for any RPG I've ever played.

Thankfully the Risen games are much better when it comes to gameplay as well as Elex. Nope, I couldn't recommend the Gothic series to any newcomers.

Gothic 1 and 2 are one of the best rpg's easily so buy them indeed.

The controls are fine they just take some time getting used to and i personally like the difficulty as it punish reckless behavior in the game as it should, Risen series is just mashing the attack button except for the occasional riposte and usage of underwhelming skills. Gothic/Elex has more thought put into it's combat and also it's open world.

For me Gothic Series and Elex will always be better than Risen so i recommend both.
