See attached, this message box appears whenever I play SPGW, DOS2, EVERSPACE. The games run fine afterwards,

but why does it appear!? Some of these games were never distributed on discs and GOG disributes digital copies.

This is related to the OS and not the game. Check your event viewer for errors.

Disk drive issues can be caused by misconfigured system files. Usually happen when the computer's registry system overloads with to much data, or when certain system files become missing, broken or even corrupted.

Have you recently used an external disk, usb drive or a memory card?

Note that, Harddisk0 is normally the main disk with C:\, Harddisk1 is an extra internal disk or an external one, depending on your setup of course.

Unless it's caused by a virus, you can remove the constant naging of this window by removing the PATH in the registry by searching for that specific PATH (just be careful), or by checking every the settings of every programs affected to see if you can find and remove the PATH there.

OK, This would make sense as these are games that use a lot of memory, I do often use my USB.

Storage space (HDD and Flash drives) and working memory (DDR3/4 RAM) should not be confused. Computers read the data from the storage space and run/manipulate the data in working memory. Working memory is not the issue here.

I should have been clear that if you run or install from an external drive, the PATH to that drive and info/data is then saved for later use. It is this PATH that needs to be removed or fixed.

I should also have been clear that games that use a lot of RAM (Not storage) seem to cause it to appear, whereas games that use little working memory don't cause it. I'll look into it over the weekend - thanks for your help. :D
Seen this before, although with a different set of games (Dark Reign).

Regardless if you get it, it's mostly harmless. If the game won't run due to the error, retrying might resolve it. Not sure why, as they haven't given much information on it, could be a timing issue, or as mentioned an OS thing.
