I have a game released in 2004 (WinXP) that is missing audio. I'm currently running Win7 and Win10.

Does anyone have ideas on how to run this legacy Windows game on a modern Windows OS so that audio works?

My go to solution on Windows was always to install VLC Player and that solved it.

What game are you talking about, and where did you get it? If you got it here then you can contact support to help out. If it’s just a general enquiry then:

Is a good start.
Codec packs would be your next port of call. Depends on the game, what it needs, does it run through dosbox or scumm?
