It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

We are not amused. This is serious business, not monkey business..

I was already delighted some DLC would indeed unlock all the stuff (offline). Why do people joke about things like this? You don't see me making jokes of your mother's uterus cancer either.

This whole fiasco really bums me the wrong way. Especially when there is a lack of FB presense on the forums(usually with other of their releases they have somebody on GOG forums to talk with).

On top of that after beating the game once I didnt unlock any new specialization(was playing Single Player online) because it never counted the found hats as part of the achievment(one should be able to unlock at least 1 specialization after the 1st boss but no luck).

I really hope that FB will fix that for GOG version and if not... there goes 1 customer.
And still no comment from a blue either. Well, it was weekend. But I hope that someone from GOG shows up here soon to comment on the situation and what they want to do about it.

Why would you expect a comment? This is standard practice now. Anouncement - debacle - ignore it and it will go away. Happens every single release, not necessarily this issue, but every release has some sort of issues.

Hey guys! Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Our QA is investigating the reasons and trying to replicate the behavior. The chests should always open in the DRM free build regardless whether you have internet on or not, so this is not intended behavior and will be fixed (once we figure out how to replicate this).

Our support team has been swamped with the launch so I apologize the lack of communication here on the GOG forums.

Good to see a response. Also, you should probably speak to GOG to get the orange user name/font of a dev so everyone knows you're legit and your posts stand out for just such occasion.

Great to have a response here and also that it isn't intended behaviour. Thank you!
Well if it's bugged then that's different.

FB is still excellent developer one of best in heart.

Thank you for the response. I'm glad you didn't intend to require internet to open chests. So it's a bug.
I hope you can fix it soon.

Thanks for the confirmation. Also nice to see you responded offically on the related Steam threads too.
Hey cemacar, could you kindly let us know what build number you have (it shows in the right lower corner when you go to Options from the main menu).

Also, does the same problem occur if you start the game straight from the installation file: nineparchments_64bit.exe (not using the launcher!)

Our QA has been doing some testing and has a theory as to why the problem occurs. If you have the time to test this, it would be most helpful so we can get to the bottom of this :)

Asbeau: I find it strange that if the GOG version has this 'feature' nobody else has mentioned it

BeatriceElysia: I find it more strange that OP turns off internet while playing...
My gaming PC is offline only (win7) with only 20 tasks running +/- 1 task.

My mobo is from 2008 with 24GB ddr3, 1080ti, 980x.

Ok to the point!
So my respectable friends one is from IT field the other a lawyer; call me crazy because I turned off almost all windows services and deleted windows programs.
But! This is what my friend from IT told me:
"NovumZ I saw many people's computers that were much much more powerful then yours, but I never saw games play so smooth and with visuals like you have" I just replied to him: "I just follow my intuition and not what they teach you at universities :D"

My advice to anyone is to follow their inner selves, try it and you might like it. We all have this (:

Ps. Having an offline PC is critical for me since I always like to optimize my games to their full potential. In the past I was just frustrated by microsoft and nvidia messing remotely with my settings.
