This game isn't on GOG, but I'm stuck because of a glitch and I was wondering if anyone could solve this for me?

When I am at the hotel in France, I try to go in to get the ketchup to put it on the hot dog, but there are two men in the way. If I leave and go back in, one is gone but the other is still there, and the cursor changes to let me talk to the one who's not even there.

I looked this up and evidently other people have had this problem, but I tried what they said, and it didn't work. Here's what I did:

- I tried pressing ctrl-F12, and also pressing it while walking toward the man to talk to him. This make various people appear and disappear, but one was always in the way, and the cursor was always the wrong kind so I could talk to the man who was sometimes not there.

- I also read that earlier, if I click the happy face when talking to the man with the boat, that will cause the glitch, so I started my game back before I talked to him, and clicked the angry face instead. Then I went through the rest of it and got to the part with the ketchup and had the same problem.

- I also read that I shouldn't try to go into the hotel at all until after I get the hot dog, but that's not possible, because I can't try to pull down the stairs and request the hot dog until after I go into the hotel.

So what am I doing wrong?

Alternatively, if anyone has a saved file that's preferably RIGHT AFTER picking up the ketchup, so that I won't miss anything, and you can put it onto some server where I could get it, that would be great, thanks!
