Prime Gaming is generally so so, mostly including free items to use with online MMOs, FPSs, and the like. However, it is included at no extra cost to Prime subscribers. They generally try to give a free AAA or AA game from GoG, Epic, and EA monthly, along with a bunch of really crappy titles hosted on the Amazon servers.

I was quite grateful to receive GoG keys for GhostRunner, which also included the pre-order dlc from 505 as a bonus, and Control Ultimate Edition....even though I had already previously bought the game at full retail. So, it goes without saying that Journey to the Savage Planet will be the next title indeed if we are to listen to what 505 has stated. I don't know anything about there being DRM, but I'll take a free title any day. Well...I've passed on the free titles offered here by GoG, but you know what I mean. lol

_Auster_: According to Journey to the Savage Planet's review currently marked as most useful overall:

FAILED TO LOGIN TO GOG ONLINE SERVICES.
CONTINUING MAY MEAN PLAYING WITHOUT ACCESS TO PURCHASED ADD-ONS.

_Auster_:
So, the review is severely outdated, as the wrong message added by the DLC was replaced at the beginning of this year. (See RACosteau's #8 with the quote from gog.) It might be beneficial if everyone marked that wrong review as "not useful" (any longer), and for you to edit your post to make it clear that there's no risk of DRM after all.

Nice sleuthing to determine which game will be up next, though!

Like RACosteau mentioned and linked, the display of the warning was wrong and we have updated it to show that it's only about multiplayer that requires an internet connection :)
Thanks u/RACosteau, u/gogtrial34987 and u/SmollestLight. Updated #1.

Also, indeed, u/gogtrial34987, if the review doesn't reflect the current state of the game, people should downvote it.

Leroux: So if anyone thinks about subscribing to Prime in order to get a DRM-free game from GOG, this would be information relevant to them. (And note that Amazon does not "sell" the GOG key but gives it away to subscribers. It's not entirely "free" under this condition, of course, but the subscription you pay is for faster shipping, watching Prime Video etc.).
Those GOG keys are a sad and pathetic ploy to get people subscribe to that Amazon service.

And it works!
I did subscribe to that because I am a sad and pathetic person.

I don't think the video service alone would interest me that much (especially as their scifi selection is kind of weak), but if I get to watch a relatively nice selection of movie/TV content and get a free GOG game, that was enough for me.

Currently I could get HBO Max for exactly the same price as Amazon Prime, but if there are two choices: a streaming service and another streaming service that also gives free games, there's really no discussion for me there.

And at least Amazon is in a roundabout way supporting DRM-free gaming, so that's not all bad.

PixelBoy:
I subscribe to the Video service from time to time when there's enough new stuff for me to watch (e.g. new season of The Boys, The Expanse etc.), but I'm never in a hurry, so I use the games as an additional incentive on WHEN to do what I intended to do sooner or later anyway. Not really a ploy if you know exactly what you're getting. If reacting to ads, promos and attractive offers makes you a sad and pathetic person, I guess most of humaninty is. But what else is new. ;)

Call me sad and pathetic because I use their keys. Actually, I subscribe to Prime exclusively for the shipping discounts. If they wanna throw in Prime Video and Gaming for free...so be it. I think it's a great service for the price.

_Auster_: • Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered
• FrostPunk
• Journey to the Savage Planet
• Football Manager 2021
• Morkredd
• Spellcaster University
• Youtubers Life
• Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse
• Tales of Monkey Island Complete Pack
The new batch has arrived and the prediction was mostly correct. I don't see Football Manager 2021 (yet?), but everything else was spot on. And there are actually two GOG keys, for Journey to the Savage Planet (+ Hot Garbage DLC) and for Frostpunk (it says full version, but apparently it's just the main game). Need for Speed comes as Origin key.

It wasn't a prediction. Amazon announced the December games last week.

How do you manage to get these games on Prime Gaming? I was trying to register just to get Frostpunk for GOG, but couldn't finish registration due to huge delays for authentication codes.

You need to subscribe to Amazon Prime and then to link it to your Twich account.

you do not need to link it to Twitch. You do need Amazon Prime, but then just go here - https://gaming.amazon.com/home and click the Games tab.

I do not have Twitch at all, and I have claimed the games .

It seems I have to wait too much time for a valid authentication code. And when I receive the code it says it's expired.

EDIT: Got the GOG key for Frostpunk from another source.
