my name is magike catte: Well if Mark of the Ninja Remastered is finished then it should be here if I've understood your logic correctly.

Lady-Jaye: But my reply wasn't in response to anything you said, it was in response to a comment by Lone_Scout about "Klei still takes the effort of releasing things here. Most surprising..."
I simply suggested, to him, that they may still be releasing new games here, it was not a reference at all to Mark of the Ninja being updated with the remaster at all (not sure where that came from), but that Oxygen Not Included and potentially the new Griftlands might be released here in the far future after everything is all patched up and they have no more planned DLCs, etc.
No I know you weren't replying to me, but your suggestion was still relevant to the Mark of the Ninja situation being that it's a game by Klei. If your suggestion was true, we wouldn't still be waiting for the update. The fact that Mark of the Ninja Remastered is "finished" and not here means your suggestion is unlikely. If they're not willing to give us the update to a game that's not a WIP, why would they release the other games you mentioned?
That was the point I was making.

Well I was only referring to new games coming, or new DLC. Essentially things they could "sell" to GOG users. I wouldn't take a stance on "mark of the ninja remastered" since they would likely have to issue that as a free update to owners like they did on steam, no profit for their time.
To clarify, what I meant in the original reply was, I think that after they've done all the little updates and maybe DLC pushes for Oxygen Not Included, we might see that come up for purchase here. That way Klei can make a small profit off selling it to GOG users without having to worry about managing two versions between steam and GOG since they wouldn't be updating it anymore. Similarly for griftlands potentially years down the road.
Now I get that they could update MotN with the remastered version here since they aren't doing anymore updates to it, but likely the reason they haven't is there's just no profit in doing it, and they care less about the minorty of GOG users compared to steam. Essentially there's nothing in it for them from a business standpoint other then the good faith of a minority they've already proven to care less about.

Now I don't dislike Klei, infact I love their games and buy all of them on steam new and then again later on GOG at a discounted price. I don't really like that they don't actively support GOG as much, I hope that changes in the future, but I understand from a business perspective a small team might not focus on that. I do find that the mistreatment of loyal Klei game purchasters through the lack of a remastered treatment of MotN on GOG to be shameful however.

Well there are two ways I can think of that it would make them money. Firstly, it's only a free update for those that already had the DLC. For people who own only the base game it is a paid upgrade as far as I'm aware.
The second one is I can't imagine the inferior version they're currently selling here is doing well. I imagine the lack of update has killed any incentive people would have to buy it here.
Finally!!!

Yeah, I do have whole "Standalone Pack", but I srsly don't care if its not included inside Alone Pack - for THAT price to get THAT amount of stuff, I am more than okay!!
