This gave me some serious old school vibes, made me think about my old BG days... love where this is going, thanks for telling us about i!

It literally seems an updated Baldur's Gate!
Seems like Pillars of Eternity on a much smaller budget.

Thumbs up! I only hope that it'll be at least half as good as Pillars of Eternity. If so this is going to be a great game.

"Black Geyser: Couriers of Darkness is leaving In Development on March 17th!"
Looked at the game page and this doesn't look like a game for me:
* Story-rich: I actually prefer my RPGs to be story-lite, as I play games, particularly RPGs, for the gameplay.
* Real time with pause combat: I've found this to be the worst of both worlds for me; I'd rather play a turn-based RPG or a full action game. (My experience with Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 as well as Icewind Dale taught me that this sort of combat is not for me.)
* Less of a factor, but still not to my preference, is the isometric view. I prefer overhead tile-based graphics, like in Ultima 1-5 and older 2D JRPGs. Isometric feels cluttered to me, plus it makes movement more awkward, as navigating via just cardinal directions isn't as straightforward with isometric graphics.

By the way, anyone know what the level cap is, and what level you're expect to reach by endgame?
Officially has left In Development now, by the way.
