1995's point 'n' click adventure game, Flight of the Amazon Queen, is getting a sequel. Pete Mullins and John Passfield, who had worked on the original, are behind this project.

You can get updates here.
Cool. Really liked the original, extremely funny game, one of the most enjoyable adventures I've played. Of course this could turn out to be a disappointment, but if it manages to recreate the spirit of the original, I'd be interested.
As a game that I played through when it became free, I remember enjoying it, but, honestly, I don't remember anything else from it. :(

I hope this new one is awesome. :)
Let's see how their humor has changed in 30 years' time...
Original is very good and underrated game. Only the middle part in temple was kinda slog but other parts were great with cheesy and absurd humor as well as decent puzzles. Highly recommended especially to LucasArts fans.

Not sure what to think about this sequel idea.
I love Flight of the Amazon Queen, it's a fun mix of Indiana Jones and Monkey Island. I never heard of it back in the 90s (I'm not even sure if it was released in my country), but it was the first game I downloaded when I joined GOG, because it was free and I wanted to see how the store worked. It's a very charming point-and-click adventure game. I am excited about this sequel, especially because the original devs are the ones in charge.

Are you sure it wasn't released in Spain? I also live in the Mediterranean, and I remember it being circulated (friend loaned it to me. Reached the temple before having to hand it back...).

It might have been released, I just never learned of its existence. So it was a nice surprise to join GOG and discover this gem exists. :)

I never enjoyed the game when it was launched. It was when the game became freeware when I discovered this pure gem.

But Indeed the game was published in Spain by ERBE Software. The same as Monkey Island and every Important AAA game in Spain until 1995 more or less.

A curiosity. Now ERBE is property of Activision Blizzard. I mention this because some spanish translations were property of ERBE. Now they should be property of Activision Blizzard and they even don't know, probably.
