One of teh freebies, Ultima 4, is old as ever, but a pretty sweet game, you should check it out.

JudasIscariot: We still are about old games (we released 3 oldies this week :) ) but we are also including indie and newer games as well :) Welcome, enjoy your stay :)

F4LL0UT: Where was my Warm Judas Welcome® when I joined? :(
Be careful what you wish for. A kiss by Judas usually ends with: "Out of the door, line on the left, one cross each." ;-)

Just saying. Be careful.

Cyraxpt: While i'm not saying that he is or is not who we think it is, wouldn't the registration date be based on Poland time? I already noticed that the server refresh (or whatever you want to call it) is at 22h here (1h38 minutes ago) so i assume that even registrations is the same.
Yeah, talking of interactions with GOG.com: pretty much all dates, including the dates shown in your account's purchase log, are using one of the European timezones (probably Central European [Poland's timezone], but it could be GMT for all I know). Any time I've made a purchase in the evening (local time), my receipt e-mail has the next day's date as the date for when the transaction took place.

I don't think there are probably a lot of international sites that use each user's own local timezone for all the dates and such related to that user's interactions with and on the site. In fact, a lot of (non-shitty) forums even have a notice along the lines of "All times are GMT -6" or whatever.
Welcome to GOG! Hope you enjoy DRM-free gaming!
Welcome and have a good time around! :)
Also new games that look old, the're all retro n stuff.

I found the minor Gog deities that are kept happy with offerings of money in exchange for videogames comment really funny.

JudasIscariot: You joined in 2011, I started working at GOG in 2012 :P
Now that's funny!

JudasIscariot: Started working for GOG on May 21st 2012 :)
No you di... ah crap, forgot that dominate does not work over the internet. Or that I'm not actually Ventrue. Or a vampire. Sorry, my mistake.

foxish: I just joined. Kind of confused though because I though GOG was about old games, yet I see The Witcher 3 for sale right on the front page? I guess it doesn't matter, just glad to be here!
Don't worry, all games will eventually become old, even The Witcher 3. Just give it some time.

avatar
ZFR: They no longer concentrate on old games since they've dropped Good Old Games and rebranded to GOG.com.

Come to think of it, the "good" part is debatable too when you consider some titles... ;)
avatar
Zchinque: The game part is also debatable.
Good points both. Maybe GOG.com should be called ....com, or even just .com, from now on.

ZFR: I wouldn't call it "working" but the date is right at least.
Eating pizza in front of the computer is hard work :)
Welcome. XD I'm new too.

Yes, I'm a spooky scare skeleton that's gonna spam and haxx all your accounts.

No. I'm in the US, lol. East coast. Maybe I messed something up while registering, idfk.

Nah, the really scary ones are those that sign up in the Fall, on servers in countries that observe DST (Daylight Savings Time).

It's during that one crucial moment between 2:00am local time and 2:00am (which would have been 3:00am) where a whole hour seems to be lost into the ether... that's when the Illuminati have their secret meetings with the Knights Templar and the Freemasons to discuss their next fund-raiser.

On the bright side, you get an extra hour of sleep!
