op is correct about dex and slain.

both of these received large (game changing) updates yesterday, so hopefully we'll see them soon.

Which is understandable if they only came out yesterday, seeing as GOG manually has to test them and add them. Hopefully will be less of an issue as GOG becomes more automated with Galaxy,

meonfire: gog REALLY should modify their contracs so that devs have to update their games when a new patch is available
This ^ right here. Why doesn't GOG lookout for their customers?

while this seems a good idea in theory, devs will often forget to remove the drm from the versions of their games that contain drm, GOG has gotten updates containing drm which rendered the games non-functional.

meonfire: on top of my head

darksiders 2 , sheltered , dust an elysian tail , slain , hyperlight drifter , dex , underrail

the list goes on and on ... really
Slain! will be getting its content update but it will take some time to make sure it is equal to the version you get anywhere else. I cannot go into details right now but we are working with the publisher to bring the relaunched version as quickly as possible but we would like to do it right.

Please give me a concrete link or post that shows Hyperlight Drifter as outdated as we've received every patch for Windows so far as well as the latest patches for the Mac & Linux versions of the game.

Same goes for Dex and UnderRail. If you have some concrete info, please do share it with me, either here or via PM and I'll be more than happy to investihate as both Dex and UnderRail are games where I work with the developers directly.

In short, if you feel a game is outdated, all we ask is for a definite link so we can investigate.
Another problem with the updated contracts thing is that it may drive some away.

Restrictions like that are, in part from what I heard, why EA stepped away from steam and pushed their Origin stuff.
Didn't like the whole "sell game here, must sell DLC here as well" thing.

Underrail seems to have the same version on Steam & GOG

However for Dex, it received an update yesterday : http://steamcommunity.com/games/269650/announcements/detail/582473263828367736

Although I'd like to see all DLC's that are sold elsewhere also sold on GOG, my main concern are the updates/patches.

That's what I'm thinking too. Nevertheless I can't really encourage people to buy new or new-ish games here because of GOG's track record.

Not quite what I was getting at. I was just using the steam DLC thing as an example of a more restrictive contract driving away clients.
Steam got more restrictive with DLC, whereas EA wanted to manage their own DLC, and were more than happy to leave Steam to do so.
Thus Origin happens.

In the case of GOG it'd be more along the lines of publishers saying, "Why deal with these extra headaches when the majority of our sales are from Steam anyway? We'll just stop using GOG."
Bam, we GOG users are screwed even more. Doesn't matter if its about DLC, or patches, or whatever.

Most publisher won't have the financial might to just make their own store, but given that GOG is tiny compared to the giant that is Steam, they don't have to.
They just have to keep going with Steam.

So yeah, GOG is in a tough spot. If they don't try and get the patches/DLC/whatever from the publishers then the buyers are going to get more and more peeved. If they put to much pressure on the publishers for said patches, they may well just abandon ship and never look back.
If GOG keeps growing and getting more people buying from them, then they'd have some weight to toss around. Now, however, they're still small fry from what I've heard.

I hear you on that. I prefer to make my purchases from GOG, but when the game is new and not fully patched yet? I've seen some reasons to be wary. Thankfully the new games I've purchased from here (what few I've purchased) all seem to be kept up to date.
