I have 800 + games here, never a problem.

Well, I can't beat a lot of them, but that's my fault. :P

This store has been around for nearly a decade. It is part of the CD projekt group under which CDPR falls under as well (responsible for the witcher 3) last I heard was GOG being the 2nd biggest digital pc game distributer store on the market. So buy to your heart's content.
They're well established and trustworthy. For older games it's usually a good experience buying through them. For newer games I'd recommend buying somewhere else, as their technical competence, timeliness for pushing out patches, and support leaves a lot to be desired.

I find it a bit peculiar that you'd post on the company's forum asking if they're trustworthy rather than somewhere else (I mean, in theory, you're kind of asking for a biased result), but I can definitely assure you that GOG is 100% trustworthy. The only trouble you might have is if you're using some sort of gift Visa which doesn't work for non-US purchases.

Well I used my debit card from my bank for a few purchases here and then minutes later my bank locked my card due to possible fraud warning, so YES! perfectly safe, no worries at all friend. Prepaid giftcards used to work but GOG disabled that option about 2 years ago and for people in the USA it can be rather difficult from my experience if you don't like sucking paypal cock, but try out your credit card here and see if it gets locked due to fraud warnings (due to GOG being HQ'd in Cypress) and if that happens well, will talk about that IF that happens.

As the others said; GOG is perfectly trustworthy. I've bought games here for ages and used CC and Paypal. Both work fine.

Also, welcome :)
