Why use a random feature when you could just stroll though the forums like I do?

I do, but there's a good chance "random" would land me where I normally wouldn't go. And it takes a while to scroll through that list of 1500 subforums, trying to wander into something interesting.

Nevertheless, I just did, and came across a game I've forgotten about, with a thread about being stuck on a level I also got stuck on. Now I'm excited to give it another shot. The game in question is crimsonland.

Also found videos about the survival mode, and I never realized how fun it could be. Actually more tired than bored. It's not that I don't have things to do, it's that I'm too tired to do the things I have on my mind. This always ends in minless wandering on forums, youtube, etc.

As stupid as it sounds, I would dig this kind of feature. With some adjustments (like taking into account the age of the last post or whether the game is owned) it could become fun and even almost useful.

Also, frankly I would welcome any feature that would motivate people to visit the subforums more often. There are naturally better solutions than this, like a feed or something, but it would be a start.

Exactly! I love the subforums and I've had very enriching discussions there. But activity is dropping more and more. :(
