So I spilled milk on my computer. Now have another. Staples said they had downloaded everything but I can't find the GOG games (Heroes of Might & Magic 2 and 3 which I've loved for years). I gave up and tried to buy new ones but it says I already have them so they have to be gifted. I can gift them to my husband (see my post last December--we never did get them onto his computer in spite of everybody's help). But then how do I get them on mine????????? Sheesh!!!!!

Why would you buy them again if you already own them? Just download the installer again. Also, transferring files doesn't transfer installed applications.

Are you using browser or galaxy to browse this thread? Also if you are using a browser just look up, go to your username BeverlyMumma, games with a number 2 since that is probably the 2 games you own, click on the game in your library or the arrow showing down at the game and choose view downloads then look where it says download offline backup game installers click the name of the game under it and save file and then try to check your downloads which is probably somewhere on the upper right corner, mine becomes blue in firefox then, then i click it and either run it from there, but if you are intersted where it was downloaded you need to open location of folder with right click and choose it with left click, which will then say the whole path. Galaxy somebody else could help. I believe it's where you installed galaxy that it depends on where you downloaded it, also each browser is different and they can save elsewhere.

Also if it says that you need to buy a gift, you already own the game, gift is just a way to send the redeemable key to another user so they get the game and can download them.

Open your account's game library (Games), look up the game, download installer file (preferably offline) and run the executable file on your PC to install the game.

If you buy online in a proper shop like GOG <cough> you do not need to rebuy when you need the files the next time. Just login to your account and download them again. Now there are some BIG online shops where you have to buy every time you want to download something... that is equal to robbery but I could swallow a tiny fee, like 2c/GB if the shops' margins were really slim.

If as lost to things computer as having to buy a whole new computer for some spilled liquid, you need a trusted aquaintance who knows things to advise and help you.

I hate how browsers download to some hidden folder so I ask people if they would like to get it to the desktop and most answer yes please.
