I'm out of options maybe someone has a solution.

On Steam a video game just doesn't launch anymore.

I reinstalled driver, I reinstalled the video game, I reinstalled the video game on a different HDD as well, I did a bunch of stuff the video game just does not boot up anymore.

Is it a guessing competition?

I think that's the point they're making. You'll note that they give zero information.

At least in that thread, they mentioned that it involved a wizard.

1st step of troubleshooting... TURN OFF momentarily your ANTIVIRUS and try to run the game, if it launches, make an exception in your antivirus to allow the game to run without being monitered.

2nd step MAKE SURE your Video/Audio Drivers are up to DATE....
Unplug steam and plug it back in?
When my video games stop working, I lock 'em out and hire scabs.
I suggest a complete OS reinstallation, starting with MS-DOS 1.0 and using each upgrade package along the way. Probably best to make a ghost image before each upgrade, stored on its own hard drive separate from other images.

First, sorry about the harsh response you've got so far. But they do have a point. As you know it, none of us can look at your computer directly so we are basically knows nothing about it, and you don't provide anything useful to help us narrowing down what might be the problem.

So let's start with providing basic info

What is your OS? Windows? What version?
Is it connected to internet?
Do you have ANTIVIRUS running? Which one?
What games do you try?
Is other game that's not on steam works? Is the problem steam-related only?
Did you not know this is the Gwent forum!!

On 98% of these kind of "a game suddenly stops working" cases, the reason and solution is this:

You are using Windows 10, and some recent Microsoft update disabled DirectPlay. So, you need to go to the Windows options and enable DirectPlay.

On the rest (2%) of the cases, it is black magic and you must hire an exorcist to cleanse your computer from demons.
