Apology, I don't have a screenshot.

Long way back I played a simulation game whose setting is in a coporation like office (I think it's more like a publication office?!). The character that I control would be like the sims almost. So basically, my character would literally started out at the very bottom of the food chain (like office cleaner almost).

Anyways, the character would do all sort of different tasks like picking up thrown away papers from the npc and sometimes would discover "breaking news" draft so I can turn it in and gain "promotion". Literally doing tasks just to move up on the hierarchy. Then there were part of the games where I would let my toon becomes best friend with another coworker to gather "secrets" and when their relationship broke up, I could sell-out the secret (I know, it's a cheap move but it was available in the game).

Now it has been so many years since the last time I played that game, I kinda want to find it again but I could not remember the name of that game for the life of me.

Anyone knows any games like that? I think I played that during the 90's or early 2000s

If I remember it correctly, I played it on PC.
The game's setting is strictly in an office setting with fax and printer noise as background gfx
The characters were pretty nice like sims almost

That is as far as I can recollect :(
The Partners, perhaps?
It was the first thing that came to my mind upon reading that description, but I haven't played it, so I don't know how much of the actual gameplay fits.

Thank you for the suggestion but unfortunately, that's not it.
That game I play is a bit more colorful :)
