Good eye. There's even a screenshot that's the same rain scene as the short portion is in.
Oh Gemini Rue was a great game, I just checked it on my Steam library and it's been almost 9 years since I beat it wow. Maybe I should play it again, thanks for reminding it to me as well :D

My review from 2013,
Great indie adventure with an impressive storyline, brilliant OST and "tech noir" atmosphere which isn't broken by the pixelated low res graphics. Highly recommended to old school adventure fans, even though the puzzles are a bit easy.
