The Scandinavia hint is very ambiguous. I've had people in my old workplace have very heated arguments about whether Finland is in Scandinavia. Apparently they believe it's not (it's Nordic, but not Scandinavian), and technically they are right, as Wikipedia confirms.

However, if you google Scandinavia (or google images), then Finland is included in lots of results.
I think I'll skip it for the time being anyway.

True, but I think the safe assumption is that it's out without getting into the complexities of Scandinavian Geography. I doubt it was meant to be a trick. But I do find Karelia fascinating. Would love to visit someday.
