I just bought and downloaded Myst but the image is so blurry. I tried to get a screenshot but it doesn't do it justice. It's really bad. Is there anything I can do to get clear images or is that just the way it is?

Probably a better question for the Myst forum

The problem is that Myst is a 640x480 game. When it's stretched to a modern resolution like 1080p or higher, you get blur. RealMyst Masterpiece is better since it's using an actual 3D engine you can change the resolution in,.

Yeah, that's what the game looks like. As kalirion said, it's a 640x480 game (actually less than that since the original game running at 640x480 letterboxed the images as they weren't 480 pixels tall).

The pixellation you're seeing is because the game is old and low resolution, but I'm not seeing any blurriness in the screen shot. If it's blurry on your monitor it's likely due to some scaling that your video card or monitor is doing.
You're going to want to buy realMyst: Masterpiece Edition if you want the game to look nicer.
Yep, that's Myst all right. Remember, this was impressive at one time.

(Buy the Masterpiece edition, it's made for resolutions and color depths more than 640 × 480 × 2³ colors.

You mean RealMyst Masterpiece Edition, right? The one the OP has is Myst Masterpiece Edition (which incidentally has 24 bit colour depth rather than 8 bit).

Yes. The only version of Myst not for sale is RealMyst.

That's not correct, the original version isn't for sale here. There are four Windows versions of Myst:

1. Myst
2. Myst Masterpiece Edition
3. RealMyst
4. RealMyst Masterpiece Edition

We only have 2 and 4 here.
