I wonder how hard it would be to get Myst running on the Dreamcast. It might make for an interesting first playthrough.

timppu: I didn't actually realize some games would even lose their compatibility with newer DOSBox versions.

I recall the pleas that GOG should use one centralized DOSBox installation for all their DOSBox games, but I guess it is then a good idea to have separate DOSBox per game, if some games work only on earlier versions.
You might have missed it, but it has been a response most of the times a shared DOSBox has been mentioned (at least in my experience).

Maybe I've seen it, but thought it is more like a theoretical possibility than the current reality. Or maybe I just forgot...

I personally felt it would be too laborious for GOG itself if e.g. a new version of DOSBox changes some config file formatting (naming etc.), and then GOG would have to rewrite the configs for all their older DOSBox games too, just because they'd be using that newer shared DOSBox as well with the new config format. Not really worth it I think.
