Hi

I have Toshiba Satellite S50t-B

My windows 10 got corrupted i guess. The laptop didn't go beyond the Toshiba logo & was constantly trying to repair itself but in vain .

I had a registered Windows 7 bootable usb disk & tried to boot it by doing the following steps :

1. Once in BIOS, select Security- make sure Secure Boot is DISABLED.

2. Next, select the Advanced tab- select System Configuration- make sure boot mode is CSM Boot.

3. Changed boot order to USB first.

4. Press F10 and Save & Exit.

After this , the laptop got got dead. When i turn on , its just blank. No Laptop logo or even doesn't go into BIOS by pressing F2, or F12 . Need desperate help as my laptop is dead & all office work is screwed.

Thhbt.

Considering that Windows 7 was made before UEFI was a codified standard, and wasn't made to be a USB bootable, I'm going to guess that's part of the problem.

So to this end, maybe try making a USB bootable for something not only compatible, but also UEFI certified. Say, Fedora Linux.
If the bios isn't even loading ... dead is dead isn't it? I'm guessing BIOS corruption or worse yet, hardware failure.

If you want your office work back I would pull the laptop's drive, whack it into a caddy and try to access your work directly from the drive from another machine. If that's even possible these days.
