i apologise in advance as this is meant for the console itself, and I'm not sure if GOG is the place to talk about Nintendo console support, but I couldn't find forums on Nintendo's main website (that my Switch and 2DS are linked to) and I don't have an account on any other Nintendo ones.

Anyway, my Pro Controller I use in TV mode has no motion controls, as I found out when I saw they didn't work, tried to calibrate them and discovered that the controller is incompatible with the motion controls.

I think they may not even have a giro in them. However, every place I've looked online for support as well as the Switch games themselves, chiefly Mario Odyssey thinks that the Pro Controller does have them.

Either the standard Switch HORI Pad Pro Controller has motion controls but mine are broken, or Nintendo and those support sites were talking out of their arse.

Are the motion controls a separate attachment? If so, do they go onto that weird "4 button pad hole thing" just below the USB cable between the triggers?

I use this model of Pro Controller as it can also connect to my PC. Do I simply need another model?

The official Pro Controller (this one) most certainly has motion controls. However... ...the Horipad doesn't have any motion controls at all.
