Rievier: The PSU brand is Superflower Gold 550W, and no melted or burned plastic.
Good, SeaSonic and Super Flower are the only PSU manufacturers someone should trust without looking for reviews on the internet. Popular brands like Corsair, Cooler Master or EVGA don't even manufacture PSUs - they just sell rebranded PSUs from other OEM manufacturers.

Quick and last update: after a month of having different people checking my PC ( I'm not even kidding, I think it was more than a dozen...some of them said that the motherboard is the reason, others said the hard drive, others even the GPU) and not a single of them knew what was going on, I decided to give up as well and just use the PC until it stops working. I needed to upgrade it anyway, but I do hope it holds me until next year.

Anyway, thanks to everyone who was kind enough to check the topic and share their thoughts. Your wisdom is much appreciated, so again, thank you guys!

Perhaps its a combination of a lack of proper cooling in your PC and the weather(if you don't have AC). August is one of the hottest months of the year. Wait and see if your PC is giving you problems during the winter or in a cool environment. Playing demanding games in August without AC is going to overheat a lot of fucking computers unless your PC is like a refrigerator inside. There is a reason why offices with a lot of computers have air conditioning. Because competent businesses don't want their PCs to fucking melt and/or catch on fire during the summer months or best case scenario, constantly shutting down to protect themselves. Fans, thermal paste and heat sinks aren't going to do shit if the air in your room is hot as fuck. A fan just blows air. And they will cool your PC only if the air being blown into the PC is cool. If the air outside the PC is hotter than the air inside or equally as hot, then of course, hot air is going to be coming out of your PC as well because there will be no cooling for the components inside. I'm sure like most Europeans, you don't have AC in your home. So I suggest upgrading your PC with a better cooling system(water cooling maybe) or just play demanding games during the winter and less demanding games during the summer. OR find a cooler environment for your PC during the summer months. It could also be your building. Some apartment buildings and houses are poorly designed for summer heat. So they absorb heat during the summer instead of shielding you from heat, turning your home into a fucking oven during months like August. You may be okay with X amount of heat but your PC has low tolerance for heat when it is working hard to provide you with demanding entertainment.

Looking back, that explains how when I was a kid my old PC had that habit to die almost every summer, and how it stopped happening at a time that roughly overlaps with the installation of AC in the room (IT support always blamed the fan).

When I was living in Europe and didn't have access to affordable air conditioning, every summer, my laptops would constantly shut down on me when playing demanding games so they wouldn't melt and/or catch on fire... So I played demanding games during the winter months with heating turned down, only. :)

Nah, my PC is pretty cool inside. I never had any troubles with it, no matter how hot it was, until last month, that is. Yes, my house doesn't have an AC, but it's not because I can't afford it ( it's pretty cheap if you install it when winter season starts) and rather because my doctor warned me that I should never install one, unless I want to enhance the effects of what I suffer.
The hot weather is already gone from my country, hell, it's actually cold at night in the house, ( 20 degrees Celsius in house) but I still get that hot air and burning smell from the PC.
Anyway, like I said on my previous post, I'll use it until it doesn't work anymore, or until I can upgrade it piece by piece. After all, I really need to change the motherboard, but if I do that, I'm also required to change the CPU.
You think your PC is hot? This is a hot PC!

Then it's just faulty components or a lack of proper thermal paste or of a proper heat sink etc... Sooner or later, the faulty component will fail to a point it will be easy to pinpoint the source of the problem. So you will eventually find the source and fix the problem. You just have to wait and see, it seems.

That's a good point. I didn't even factor in geography and social norms such as lack of air conditioning in certain regions.

Yeah, imagine playing a demanding game on a laptop while living near the equator without AC...

Breja: Yes! If it's so hot - prove it and send nudes!
Sorry to take so long. Hope it was worth the wait.

Rievier: ...and burning smell from the PC.
Well, that's not exactly "hot". That's troubling, and wrong :-P

My new laptop goes up to 89 celsius degrees (CPU and GPU) while running DOOM (2016), and I smell no sign of "burning" stuff whatsoever :-D

That's... rather creepy. Could be stalking the kids in the new It movie instead of the clown :D

Well, of course it is.
