I recently purchased Homeworld Remastered Collection on GOG. I downloaded GOG Galaxy in order to install the game. When I opened GOG Galaxy, the game was not listed in my owned games. When I searched the game in the store, it said I already owned it, and I clicked the link to view it in my library. The game appears, but when I click "Install" in the dropdown menu, nothing happens. Has this happened to anyone else? I would very much like to play the game. Thanks!

Galaxy needs to be fixed for some people right now. It's showing Zero games for me.
I've been having issues with new purchases taking excessively long to appear in GOG Galaxy. I feel like this issue only appeared recently. I've been using GOG Galaxy since the initial release. I noticed it with probably the last 3 or 4 games I purchased. They all eventually appeared, but only after a few hours & restarting the client out of frustration. I'm not sure if the restart helped or was just coincidence.

I actually came to the forum to see if the issue was actively being discussed before I contact support. To date, any game purchase has appeared before end of day. I just don't understand why the GOG Galaxy client isn't updating in a similar manner to the website library. At worst, restarting the client after a game appears in the online library should sync it, but that hasn't been my experience lately. I know the client isn't necessary, but overall I like the additional features (auto updates, & cloud save backups primarily). I'd prefer to keep using it.

If your experience is like mine, it should show up eventually. That's not helpful in the meantime though. My most recent purchase (today) took 4 hours of waiting & a client restart to appear.

I restarted the GOG Galaxy client and the game appeared, I waited about 4 hours as well. It was just a matter of waiting. I suppose I was just impatient haha. Anyways this issue is resolved.
This has been going on for me for a while now. Any time I purchase a new game I have to restart Galaxy before it populates my "owned" list.

Actually, that's the only thing that matters. There is no actual wait time requirement whatsoever.

I wish that were true. I tried restarting Galaxy about a half-hour after purchase as well as 2 hours after purchase. It wasn't until the 4 hour mark that a restart made the game available. I don't think this was always the case, but it's been a problem recently.
Just a thought, gog servers getting hammered by everyone downloading 50+ GB of Cyberpunk content?

I have no way knowing, but that is probably why. Since the actual release would crash them if not for the prelaunch padding.
I don't know why this topic has been flagged as "SOLVED". To this day it still does it.
Even after multiple Integrated Syncs and resets. I honestly don't understand why it takes so long.
A lot of the time in the past in the GoG Galaxy app's early days I had to manual type the game name in the app's search bar under the "Add games & Friends" > "Add game manually" within the cog icon. Now THAT doesn't even do anything.

I know this is a minor inconvenience GoG but could you perhaps please get someone to look at why this is still happening?

It probably has been flagged as solved, because...going by everything I read here on the forum, "waiting" and "restarting the client" is apparently a working "solution".

It may not be "THE solution" you're looking for - but it solves the problem eventually, and therefore counts as "A solution".

Same problem here. I purchased a game around 30 hours ago and it's not in my library. I refreshed the client, logged in/out multiple times, checked workarounds on the web. I have contacted the support, they asked me to do multiple things (erasing the cache, reinstalling the client and more) and nothing happened.
Since yesterday I have lost hours only to do that. Not to mention that I have paid for a product that I don't have. If someone has a solution, please let me know.

Hey! a recent post! I'm currently facing this issue as well. It's been several days and still nothing. I haven't even gotten a reply to my service ticket yet. I've tried all sorts of workarounds including reinstalling the client. I've tried different computers as well. I'm hoping something comes about this.

Did you try downloading your game from the website and not Galaxy? Is the game also missing when you sign in through a browser?
This problem is still happening (April 2025). However, an earlier post describes a fix. When I closed the window for GOG (clicking the x in the top right or clicking close) and then start the GOG app again the games did not appear. But when I clicked Exit and restarted I received a popup that GOG was updating and then the games were in my owned games. So, the fix is Exiting and restarting.
