Sin6ularity: I can`t afford to make backup copies, my hard drive is very small, I can only install it. I have only one drive, 250GB not more where I keep windows and games...therefore not enough room to keep backup copies... I know now drives are much cheaper, but I was lazy to buy new one, cause this one still good enough for me... I keep 1-2 games installed...if I start making backups I need more space for sure...

Abut what you said as long as I have installer on my drive its mine to keep.... So if I delete the game cause of lack of space, game is still mine right?

karnak1: Whenever possible you should at least try to invest in a 1TB external hard drive. They're rather cheap nowadays (50$ more or less) and it would allow you to store all of your GOG's offline installers (along with all other files of interest).
Probably, true they are not expensive, just I haven`t bought it yet... I probably should...
Welcome!
I also started like you, just collecting games here for free (not from gog connect but from amazon), and then I actually realised what i was missing...
So I started with old and new games, with some of them that I've already played (maybe not 10 times eheh), but I wanted to really have here.

I'm also one of the Galaxy supporters, I like the idea and the fact that is mostly community driven, even if it's a bit dead now

Oh nice. So I am now where you used to be... I just started, and probably will buy less costly games, those I love and will like to play again... :)
Usually I never play same game more then once, but TR trilogy I love so much, whenever I have no idea what to play next I install TR games and just do them all over again... I know it`s weird :)

That is so nice of you to support galaxy, I admire you for doing that...
Wait so you have been here since 2013 and your first game bought was now?? Pretty crazy.

I wonder how many giveaways i missed all these years on GOG. I started to use this store very recently instead of Steam because im starting to get into these old shooter games fever, also because Steam is kind of annoying with the whole internet thing and i cant play in peace. Im starting to really like it, i hope they bring more fighting games.

Sin6ularity: Thanks. Sorry to hear that, I read on forum about it, some people have problems using their credit cards. I don`t know the reason.
GoG support couldn`t help either?
The last time I encountered this issue, it took more than a week of back and forth with support and they couldn't offer a fix. However, things started working magically about a week after that. Nobody informed nor contacted me about any fixes, I just had to randomly try over and over again.

Too frustrating and really not worth my time. If checkout is so broken that I have to spend half a month trying, I'm not buying anything.

Maybe some banks have problem with gog purchases and that topic probably deserve more attention on forum.
Maybe, it's the same payment provider though. GOG's systems are never directly interacting with any bank.

I suspect the integration (or adyen itself) is just crap.

Sin6ularity: you are probably talking in general, about other people... just guessing.
Your guess is correct.

Are they time related? Sometimes i need time to write my answer maybe its becaus of that?
Did you want to reply to another comment?
And did you alter (shorten) that comment?

Then the most probable cause is that you accidentally deleted one of the [.quote_5.] and or [./quote.] somewhere.
(or just one of the [ ] brackets)

That happens sometimes and it will keep your comment from being posted, but without telling you "why" it won't post your comment.

elcuervito: I wonder how many giveaways i missed all these years on GOG.
Considering how many games have been given away as freebies via the various stores during the past decade anyone with a tight budget could do very well for themselves without paying a dime. While I've been hoovering up a lot of those I've only played a few of them. Hell, I don't even have enough time to play all the ones I've bought, and I tend to have more opportunities to do so than most people.
Well, gee, speaking of enjoying free games, I got a load, but honestly the only ones I bothered to boot up were War Wind, Bio Menace, Ultima IV, Tyrian, Shadow Warrior, and Beneath A Steel Sky, you know the stuff you get for free anyway, not that I ever went beyond a level. I think the first proper giveaway I got was Shadow Tactics, but based on the Amid Evil demo, I don't think I can run UE4 games well and have them look decent.

I've been stuck juggling SWAT 4 and Vampire: The Masquerade - Redemption as of late, and that's after abandoning quite a few games I had bought prior.

BreOl72: 193 games for free and/or via GOG Connect...and here are people who complain about GOG...
Well I would have more than that as demos here at GOG, and they all get counted as games.

But yes, GOG have given away a lot of great free games over the years, and that should always be considered when attributing evil intentions to GOG. GOG are nowhere near half as bad as a bunch of folk here make them out to be ... not even close to a quarter.

Magmarock: Tomb Raider 2013 has some really good 3rd person combat. I wander how ROT compares to it. But more importantly is that now you own it; YOU OWN IT! Its your game and as long as you have the installer on your drive you will always have it. Yours to keep. Feels pretty good don't it? Yeah GOG is the best.

Sin6ularity: Main reason why I migrate from... you all know from where.... I think I`m too late, I should have come much earlier and spend my money here and not there...

I didn`t understand what is ROT? Rise Of TR? or something else?

As long as you have the install and the bin files then yes. They will work regardless of internet connectivity. ROT was indeed rise of the tomb raider. It it as good as 2013. It's currently not sold here.

Rise Of Tomb Raider is in my opinion best game in trilogy. It is an amazing game, too bad it`s not available on gog. Same goes for Shadow Of Tomb Raider. I can only hope that both games will be in gog store at some point...
