this is hella seniour account! I've lost my first account but I only had the free games back then. I still didn't feel comfortable with the idea of a digital purchase, I wanted to see my LP/boxed game...
I was feeling nostalgic and I wanted to play Total Annihilation on my new PC, having first played it on an iMAc with 64MB of RAM, with Mac OS 9, and gog was the only site I found that had it.

I was looking for an English version of Heroes of Might and Magic because the translation of my (boxed) German version annoyed me. The abandonware site I found it on redirected me here. I stayed.
Came to discuss the existence of DRM. Ahh, those were the days.
I came because I wanted to buy a copy of Neverwinter Nights and at the time it was cheaper here than on Steam. So, I guess those sales do work to hook new people in sometimes.

I stayed because I liked the focus on older classic games (which I love) and the anti-DRM stance. Oh, and all the awesome people in the forum, of course! ;-P
Fallout 1 and 2 working on modern Windows is what brought me here. I had the CDs but they were a pain, and $5 a piece to have simple DRM free executablewas very exciting at the time.
Old Interplay classics brought me here. You couldn't buy them anywhere but here. Then there was a couple of other Good Old Games. :) I started posting regularly on the forums very late however. I needed some place to talk with other gamers in English, so it was a good pick. I don't regret a single minute spent here. :)
