that gets about 10fps more than me on my budget! :D
Only time I would do that is with Records. I find it to be more natural when listening to a record that you go through the whole album in one sitting, if I'm on PC I would have specific songs of artist I love and just have them in one folder and binge listen to them when playing games or doing random stuff around the cave.

Matewis: Music, do you listen to playlists or albums mostly?
It really depends on what I want to listen to in that moment.

Do I want to listen to some particular artist/band? - album(s).
Do I want to listen to some particular genre? - playlist(s).

But in general, I'll listen albums more than playlists.
Depends. If it's about artists I don't know that well yet, I start with most popular hits and maybe sample a few of the less hyped songs as well. During that phase I even just listen to a few seconds mid-song to see whether I hear something of potential interest to me or not, before going into full songs.

After that, provided I like what I hear, and also with artists I know and like already, I usually listen to the albums first and then create my own playlists of the songs on them that clicked with me (which aren't always the most popular ones). Albums I repeatedly listen to from start to finish definitely exist but are a relatively rare case, as most albums tend to contain a couple of songs I don't care for that much, and I'd rather just skip to the better ones than sitting out those I don't really enjoy.

Tbh, I seldom enjoy full playlists created by other people though; it's rare to find someone with similar tastes than mine or a good sense for mixing things up in interesting ways (without completely going off the rails). So if the choice would be between albums or premade playlists (by someone else), I'd probably choose albums most of the time and put my trust in the artists rather than random strangers.

When doing household chores or other work: My thousands of stored tracks in random order.
When sitting down to actually listen to music: Albums, mostly.

Very rarely I pick a specific song I want to listen to right now. Or to fight an ear worm.

I guess I am kind of like that too, though I would specify those thousands of tracks would all be Top 100 from either a single year or several years.

Then again, I have created playlists that feature albums. This would usually be by the one artist, and the albums would be in release order, rather than alphabetical.

So often more than not, it is a mood thing.

If I just want hits, I do that. If I want to listen to an artist, I just do that.

But often it is also just listening to an album I have bought recently. I rarely buy singles ... the odd collection or Best of maybe.
