I remember playing the moonwalker in the arcades back when (olden days indeed!!). Wasn't a bad game, do a funky dance and all the baddies get knocked off.

Well, if that counts - Sam & Max Hit The Road has the world famous country singer Conroy Bumpus perform his smash hit "King of the Creatures". Suffice to say, the encounter with Sam & Max doesn't end that well for him and his assistant either ... ;P

You do know that Michael Jackson was part of the Jackson Five when he was younger, right? I definitely think that counts as a "band".

Alan Wake (the game sadly isn't available any more) featured a band called Old Gods of Asgard which is a pseudonym for the Finnish rock band Poets of the Fall which made several of the songs in the game's soundtrack like The Poet and the Muse.
