THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED

Welcome back to Mr.Mumble’s exciting and dizzying hall of curation! He likes a game you may like? Then get in line, friend. You must be this tall to ride. If not, then be on your way! The kiddie rides are over there.

This time one lucky bastard will walk away with a copy of FlatOut 2, my favoritest racing game to date. It has aged fairly well, and is still a blast to play. Wrecking my opponents in a variety of ways never gets old. While some of the music may be of questionable quality (i.e. Nickelback, Fall Out Boy) it actually suits the game quite well. Just strap yourself in and play some crunchy bumper cars. ;)

Once again, I'm making this easy. If you want to be qualified as an entrant for this giveaway, all I want from you is to draw a picture of your dream car and tell me what you think is so great about it. Don’t worry! Great artistic talent is not required. After all, the winner will be randomly selected. Yet I would appreciate seeing some effort put into it.

Get it? Got it? Good! Deadline for this contest will be on Sunday, Dec 3 @ 12PM PST. My only requirement is that you want the game for yourself. No entering on another's behalf or re-gifting of codes. Good luck everyone and have fun!

Not really a car person. Guess I'd go with the Batmobile, since the Invisible Jet doesn't count as a car.

p.s. can't draw and not in ;)

Bump.

You know how open-world racing games seem to be the big thing with arcade racers these days? I just don't get them. Every now and then I try to get back into Burnout Paradise, which really made this trend popular, but after like an hour or so I give up again. A well designed closed track is always going to play better and be more fun than some arbitrarily chosen route. It seems like everyone has very fond thoughts of BP, yet to me it felt like a big step down from Burnout 1-3. RIP Criterion.
I can't physically draw either. Not in. I like racing games but can't really do them too well.

I do miss my old jeep that I had in high school. Someone bought a couple of them off of one of the California Beach Patrol used vehicle auctions. Between that and shipping it via UPS across country, paid like $500 for it back in '87. Had to go to a New Hampshire airport to the UPS terminal and have them uncrate it. Paid $50(?) for a plow and hitch for the front. One of the local town road vehicle maintenance crews hooked it up for me.

I lived in a small town in Maine but two towns over was even smaller. It was part of the area that I covered as an EMT. Mostly retired elderly couples. Every time it snowed, the husbands would go out and try to shovel the driveway. Had 20-30 chest pain calls every time. Wives would normally be inside screaming bloody murder too at their husband for going outside.

It got to the point that the town finally hired a dozen of us to plow all the driveways in town. Made a few folks mad because they were doing it professionally but the town tried to rotate them thru as well.

It was one of the few times my parents trusted me being alone with some of my friends from school. We couldn't do anything all bundled up in the jeep. We'd drive around for 4-5+ hours just plowing driveways and sometimes the back roads chatting away. Some of the families we plowed would be out there waiting for us with coffee, cocoa, cookies, etc for us to snack on.

The town had to throw 300(?) pounds of sand bags in the back so I could get around. Everyone else had big pickups and didn't have any real problems.
I remember playing Destruction Derby when I was a kid - and it was just amazing. FlatOut One is not as good as my memories of DD, but it's still very nice and relaxing experience! :)

Regarding the car of my dreams - I recently get promoted to father of three and I was made to change my car, so I'm well prepared for the question and I have very precise expectations. Please, find a scheme attached. Here is key:
A. sound-proof plexiglass allowing me to hear myself think
B. four full-size seats allowing me to install isofix booster seats for 3 kids and giving me one spare seat; please, make also all these seats water-proof, sauce-proof, pee-proof and vomit-proof
C. a lot of space for luggage including prams, pushchairs, potties, scooters, beach balls and plushies
D. a car should be narrow enough to park up on regular parking space
E. and short enough, of course
F. and, please, make it 300KM to make it possible to drive comfortably, but it should not use more than 6l/100km.

Thank you.

So, I'll give this a go even tho my ms paint skills are crap my artistic skills can be used.

The car of my dreams. HOVER/FLYING as you are not limited to one terain or surface you can go anywhere you want and best of all at this point in history, no one else would have one so it would be unique and a show stopper.

Dejavous: ...
My first thought was: not enough tonnage for me.
But, on balance, perhaps it not that bad idea to leave kids and all their stuff home and drive (even fly in this case) somewhere with my wife only... ;)
Not in but +1 and a bump
thx for giveaway
Bump.
Congratulations to ciemnogrodzianin. You won! It's time for some mangled cars and drivers. Enjoy! ;)
Hey, thanks! What a nice surprise for Monday morning! :D

Be sure I'll wreck all cars there - or at least those driven by me ;)
