I'm waiting too. There's a couple of movies I'll like to pick up.
I honestly keep forgetting we even have movies here. Such as they are.

I think I have eleven of them because I went stoopid one time and bought a bunch when they were all fifty-nine cents.

Still never watched any.

There haven't been any new movies/videos released in eons now, and none have appeared in sales or other promotions for just as long. While GOG has not made any official announcement about this to confirm nor deny things either way, I think it's pretty obvious that the "movies" experiment they made did not turn out to be as successful as they may have hoped it would. They probably never brought in barely any revenue with it and decided that it wasn't worth continuing to devote investment of manpower and montetary resources to continue pursuing. They may however have contractual obligations with some of the existing content publishers requiring them to keep that section of the store online rather than shutting it down completely.

Note: This is all pure speculation on my part, I could be completely wrong. We'll never know though unless GOG actually says something publicly about it and they've been tight-lipped about it for about 2 years now so I don't expect we'll hear anything at all.

I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for new titles to show up nor for any existing ones to go on sale though, it just seems extremely unlikely. Only time will tell however.
Yeah, I gave up waiting for new movies and I've started ripping all my DVDs to my hard drive. =\ I've been working on it on and off for about two months, most of the trouble was trying to get the balance between video quality and file size. I'm more than half done, but I would've rather bought the movies again than have gone through all this trouble. On the bright side, now I've got a nice collection of DRM-free movies, shows, and anime.
as of now i really feel the movie section is dead (at least for me). As no new releases and well while some of the movies might be semi interesting for me but not at the current pricing point. I also think it's kinda both holding the movie section down - a) gog not really "pushing it" but also b) really backward movie-studios (even the indie ones) so almost impossible to get new movies at competitive prices here. Also this leads in the end to almost 0 by the customers here i gues.
It was dead when it started, I have one which was free at the time, and not watched that. Problem is there are plenty of movie sites about, GOG really needs to stick to the games as that is their niche.
