It doesn't have its own forum yet, so you'll have to excuse me posting a specific game question in General.

Sadly, controllers are taking over PC gamers more and more, to the point that I now even have to ask if a game supports KB&M. Many still support keyboard, but mouse is getting rarer and rarer. Even re-binding keys are going away.
I've built up quite the list of AutoHotKey files for games like these, but some are hardcoded with weird keyboard keys (like Momodora), others use controller-centric input (Like shooting in CrossCode).

So my question is, do the aiming in Batbarian support mouse?
I've heard there's a demo on the Steam DRM, maybe someone have tried it?

Thanks in advance for answers.

Sorry, no idea as to your question.
I agree with your principal in that controllers are taking over.
However I am the opposite in conclusion. Platform era are one genre, like driving and fighting, where controllers are preferable. I will swear blind to the end of time on m&k for FPS and anything requiring accuracy or selection. Definately use what’s best for the game.

I agree that controllers should be an option, but if a game is sold on PC, then mouse and keyboard should work out of the box.
I'd disagree on controllers being better at certain games. I think it's more to do with how the game is coded, and for what input device. A controller is after all only a plastic device with buttons..just like a keyboard. Though much smaller and way fewer keys. The big difference is analog sticks and mouse aiming, though I don't see why you can't stick a stick (pun not intended, sadly!) on a keyboard. Mouse on a controller would be much harder.

Which PC games don't let you use mouse and/or keyboard? I never heard of this.
I'm preferring the controller in a lot of cases these days, just as much part to relief my wrist as well as upping the challenge in shooters for example without the need to play legendary or some other wicked difficulty level

( though with mass effect andromeda i actually feel pretty fine with the controller on hard )

but yea... a pc game most primary concern should of course be providing at least a sense of ease when using the mk combination... ofc a lot of ports or multiplatform releases designed for other, controller systems, are easily recognizable and sadly contain lots of strange keyboard choices

They tried mouse on a controller, steam controller, don’t know how popular it is, mouse would still be better in my opinion.
As you say controller can have the stick which makes makes tricky moves much easier, like 360 degree rotate for special move, and diagonals. You can do the same with keyboard, but then you would need to expect the user to have a mechanical keyboard which can handle multiple key presses at the same time which most cheaper ones are not good at.
Also remember there is a lot more console to pc ports now and they won’t go through the effort of recoding a controller, sad but true.
