hsi05318: i do not have an xbox. i have alweays used pc's.
Wishbone: Whether or not you have an actual XBox is irrelevant. Lots of PC players use XBox controllers for some games these days, and the XBox controller is natively supported in Windows. Lots of PC games support that controller specifically too. Personally, I hate the XBox controller (I much prefer the PS controller layout), but I use a Logitech controller from time to time.
it is very relevant as i am unable to use my mouse correctly. the only option/choice i have is the x-box control. i can not control the witcher with my mouse. i am not sure if you really understand the problem. but thanks for trying to help anyhow
Leucius: Without having a controller plugged in, as you suggested is your situation, the best I can do is tell you two pieces of advice.
One) Fire up the game, key down to Options, go to Key Bindings and hit "R" for Defaults. If that doesn't work, then we try the Nuke option:
Two) Go to your Documents folder, open Witcher 3 folder, and delete input.settings, user.settings, and user.settings.bak - DO NOT DELETE GAMESAVES
This should revert your Witcher 3 install to default. You WILL have to set video settings again, etc, but this should fix your issue.
I sincerely hope this helps

EDIT: You might want to back up your ini files in the witcher 3 folder before deleting them, I'm pretty reckless and didn't do it though.
hi, tried that, the only control in options is still the xbox control. it does not show the mouse as it used to :-(
